EVENING STROLL: For their June meeting, Hepple WI members spent a wonderful evening visiting the hay meadows at Barrowburn up in the Coquet Valley.
The weather was fine and the scenery was, as always, beautiful. Only the midgies were cause for concern!
Members were accompanied by Shaun Hackett, from Northumberland National Park, who gave an enlightening talk en route on the different varieties of flowers, grasses and insects.
The evening was rounded off with a visit to the Barrowburn Tea Room for some welcome refreshments, courtesy of Ian and Eunice Tait.
