A helping hand is given to hospice

HospiceCare North Northumberland has received some generous gifts, with a car and more than £1,000 recently given to the charity.

Blackshaws, Alnwick, has loaned the hospice a Suzuki Jimny 4x4 to help nurse/manager Sue Gilbertson and her team travel throughout north Northumberland to support families in need.

Meanwhile, Beau Monde Spa, at Lucker, has given £1,279 to the charity, after raising the money at a Christmas shopping event in December.

On top of this, Percy Wood Country Park, in Swarland, has made a donation of £459.21, which was collected last year by displaying HospiceCare’s coin-collection tins and hosting a music festival.

This combined donation of £1,738.21 will allow the charity to carry out almost 70 hours of care through its Hospice at Home service.
