Helen takes on CEO role at important charity

A new CEO has been appointed for Age UK Northumberland.

Helen Mills, 45, has taken on the role at the charity.

She started her career working with older people more than 27 years ago.

Helen was motivated to apply for the CEO role because she has a passion for supporting older people.

She has held three other CEO roles during her career in health and social care and has worked in mental health and palliative and end-of-life care services, all within the charitable sector.

Age UK Northumberland works with and for older people in the county to help make later-life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. The charity offers support to anyone aged over the age of 50.
