Have an input into how healthcare is run in the county

People in Northumberland and North Tyneside are being given the opportunity to have a say on local healthcare services.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is holding elections for local people to become public governors of the organisation with vacancies across both areas.

The role of a public governor is to represent the views of local people and help build links between Northumbria Healthcare and the many communities it serves.

People must be a member of the trust before they can put themselves forward as a candidate to become a public governor.

Becoming a member is straightforward, open to everybody living in Northumberland and North Tyneside, and can be done by completing an online application form at www.northumbria.nhs.uk/members or calling 0191 203 1296.

Among the current vacnacies are three in the Berwick area. which covers Alnwick and Rothbury,

All completed nominations must be received by 5pm on Wednesday, May 27.
