People can put their questions to the experts and find out a little more about dementia at the Alzheimer’s Society dementia community roadshow.
The pioneering national tour will be stopping off at Alnwick Market Place on Friday, February 20, from 10am to 4pm, as it aims to increase awareness and understanding of the condition which affects 4,850 people across Northumberland.
Staff will offer free information and advice, as well as helping to promote the benefits of an early diagnosis.
Alzheimer’s Society services manager for Northumberland, Jane Lamont, is hoping the roadshow will help bring dementia out of the shadows.
She said: “Dementia is one of the biggest health and social-care challenges of our generation yet it continues to be a condition blighted with stigma and lack of understanding.”
