TALENTED hopefuls are running out of time to put themselves forward in the county’s hunt for its top performers.
But the deadline for entries for Talent Northumberland 2012, launched last month by Northeast Press, in association with Northumberland County Council, has been extended by a week, to Friday, May 18.
If you think you have talent then Northumberland needs you – whether it be groups or individuals and whether it be singers, musicians, actors, comedians, dancers, cheerleaders, jugglers or ventriloquists.
And there is a great prize up for grabs for the champion.
The winner will receive a 12-month management contract with One Voice Productions, which specialises in nurturing new talent, and the chance to perform at the Miss Northumberland final at Newton Hall on Friday, June 29.
All you have to do is upload a video of your act to file-sharing website YouTube and email the link to firstname.lastname@example.org
A shortlist will be drawn up from the best videos and, depending on the number of entries, heats will be staged.
The final will take place at the Alnwick Playhouse on Friday, June 8, where the best contestants will battle it out for the title.
Under 16s must have the permission of a parent or guardian to enter the competition and usual terms and conditions apply.
The closing date for entries is Friday, May 18, and the judges’ decision is final.
