This Sunday morning, starting at 10am on Wooler Common, there is an opportunity to do just that.

The weekend trek is the first of a pair of walks run by Northumbrian Earth, branching out into the Northumberland National Park to explore the ancient – and extinct – volcano which underlies most of the northern part of the park.

Northumbrian Earth is run by geologist Dr Ian Kille, who has been operating popular walks on the Northumberland coast for many years, working in partnership with the Northumberland Coast AONB.
