Have a cup of LiberTea in Glanton on Sunday

To commemorate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta, on Sunday at 3pm, the clink of teacups will be heard in the North East as communities simultaneously take tea together.

LiberTeas, which is organised by the Houses of Parliament in partnership with the National Trust, encourages people to take a moment to celebrate, debate and reflect on their freedoms and rights.

More than 230 events are taking place across the UK, including one in Glanton in the village’s Memorial Hall from 2pm to 4.30pm.
