Spectacular fireworks will light up the dark skies during a series of organised displays throughout Northumberland this weekend.
To help you plan a sparkling time, here’s a guide to events.
Tomorrow: The Shepherds Rest. The event will start from 6pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm. Also children’s rides, raffle, tombola and hot food.
Saturday: Alnwick Rugby Club, organised by Alnwick and District Round Table. Gates open at 6.30pm, display begins at 7.30pm. Adults £5, U16s £3, U4s free. Dogs allowed on a lead. You can bring sparklers, but dispose of them safely. Rugby club bar will be open and there will be food stalls. Parking available at Willowburn Sports Centre or Homebase car parks.
Saturday: Clennell Hall Country Hotel. Fireworks and laser display. Starts about 7pm. Live entertainment and food. Entry free, donations welcome.
Sunday: At the village green, starting at 5pm.
Sunday: Morpeth Rugby Club. Gates open 5pm, bonfire lit at 6pm. Admission is £5 each, under 12s £3 each. A family ticket is £15.
Saturday: The Salutation Inn. Bonfire night party from 7pm. Tickets £4/£2 include a hot dog or a soup.
Sunday: The Salutation Inn. Children’s bonfire party, 5pm to 7pm. Free entry, bring along your Guy for the competition, free hot dogs, small bonfire and sparklers.
Sunday: Kirkley Hall. Gates open at 2.30pm. Bonfire lit at 5pm, fireworks start at 6pm.
Food available, plus children’s crafts, face-painting and rides. The activity centre will be open into the evening with a zip wire.
Entry is £4 per person, free to U5s. Zoo entry after 2.30pm will be £1 only when buying a ticket for the bonfire event.
Sunday: Tumbleton Lake, Cragside. Organised by Coquetdale Round Table, with donations to good causes. Gates open at 5pm, starts 6pm. £5 per adult, maximum £10 per car, children free. Refreshments on sale. Free car parking. No fireworks or sparklers to be brought in.
