Harriers set personal best times in the GNR

There was the usual great turn out of Alnwick Harriers at the Great North Run on Sunday, where Jo Gascoigne-Owens was the star once again!

Jo knocked two minutes off her 2014 time and clocked a brilliant 1.20.45, easily the quickest half marathon of the year by a female Harrier. She was 17th female overall and third in the female 35 category.

Elsewhere, there were lots of good runs and plenty of pbs. Dean Stackhouse was the club’s first male in a shade over 1 hour 30, whilst Graham Syers was just under two minutes behind him. John Cuthbert smashed his previous 13.1 mile best with 1.39.09, whilst Suzie Barwise-Munro and Lisa Athey finished within a second of each other just under 1 hour 45.
