An Alnwick boutique celebrated its first birthday by being named as a super stylist for a leading luxury hair-extension brand.
Stephen Hopper opened Hairess Manes in April last year after being made redundant from Urban Goddess Ltd, following its closure in the town the month before.
By his own admission, the 27-year-old feared his new venture wouldn’t last a month, but thankfully, it has exceeded his expectations, growing into a thriving businesses.
And his luxury hair-extension boutique was given the perfect first-birthday present earlier this month, by joining a select group of venues to be named as a super stylist for Remi Cachet.
Salons on the list are chosen for their regular business, quality work and devotion to the brand. In return, each one benefits from a host of marketing support to help boost their business.
Individually-designed logos promote each extensionist and the application methods they work in are designed for the stylist to market their skills and attract new clients. Additional benefits for super stylists include enhanced listings on the Remi Cachet’s Find A Stylist directory and the first to see new products and attend insider events.
Stephen, whose boutique is located downstairs at Capella Hair Design on Narrowgate, said: “When I started the business after being made redundant I wasn’t sure it would last the month. But now we have our very own aftercare product line and offer three different fully-reusable and refitable extension methods unique to the town and surrounding area.
“And now to be named as a super stylist for Remi Cachet – which has a massively growing client base, including celebrities such as Little Mix – after only introducing the brand to Hairess Manes in June feels like an amazing achievement. I am over the moon.”
