Hadston man fined for exposing himself

A Hadston man has been fined after exposing himself in a Northumberland village.

David Mavin, of Simonside Crescent, admitted the charge of exposing his genitals with the intention that someone would see them and be alarmed/distressed.

The incident happened on October 22, 2016, at Ellington.

Magistrates at Bedlington ordered Mavin to pay a total of £195, including an £80 fine.

○ An Ulgham man has been convicted for possessing an indecent photograph of a child.

George Daniel Plant, 39, of The Forge Estate, was sentenced at Bedlington magistrates’ court on Friday.

He was given a 12-month community order, 150 hours’ unpaid work, needs to serve a rehabilitation requirement and has been put on the sex offenders’ register for five years.

○ A Blyth woman has been fined for attacking a police community support officer (PCSO).

Ashleigh Cook, 37, from Wright Street, admitted assaulting PCSO Watson at Keelmans Terrace in February.

She was ordered to pay £245, including a £125 fine and £50 compensation.
