Coffee mornings will be taking place across north Northumberland tomorrow as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee morning.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fund-raising event.
Indiviudals, community groups and businesses hold coffee mornings, where donations on the day are made to Macmillan.
In 2011, 51,000 people signed up to hold a coffee morning, raising a record £10million.
Among the events taking place in the region are the following.
The Barclay’s bank branches in Bondgate Within, Alnwick, Queen Street in Amble and Seafield Road, Seahouses, will all be hosting events.
Also in Alnwick, the Methodist Church in Chapel Lane is holding a coffee morning at 9.30am.
As well as coffee, there will be bric-a-brac, a raffle, tombola, cakes and crafts.
And in Amble, St Mark’s Church Hall in Wellwood Street is the venue for another coffee morning.
It too will have extras such as biscuits, a raffle, a tombola and a cake stall.
Further north, the Lindisfarne Inn at Beal is holding an event with homemade cakes and a raffle.
