Gorse-bashing to protect grasslands on the Whin Sill
Outcrops of Whin Sill, like Kippy Law Heugh, 2km north-east of Belford, create the ideal conditions for special grassland habitats.
Unfortunately, much of these grasslands are being engulfed by invasive species, namely gorse.

Hide AdThe Peregrini team is focusing efforts on Kippy Law Heugh over the four Tuesdays in February with the aim to remove as much gorse as possible.
