A SPORTS ground is to benefit from funding by a telephone and internet provider which has invested £50,000 in technology in the area.
TalkTalk has spent the money on technology bringing broadband offers to Warkworth and High Hauxley as part of its Next Generation Network expansion in the area, which gives customers access to fast, reliable broadband services for all of the family’s needs.
The company has also given Amble Welfare, which is run by Amble Development Trust, a donation of £600 to help mend the leaking roof on the pavilion and update kitchen facilities.
Julia Aston, Trust director said: “With the financial support of TalkTalk, we will be able to improve the pavilion at Amble Welfare. These changes will make a huge difference to everyone using the sports ground over the coming year and we are extremely grateful to TalkTalk for their help and assistance.”
Tristia Clarke, commercial director at TalkTalk added: “Investing in the local area allows us to bring our great value offers to even more families in Warkworth and High Hauxley and we are proud to be supporting Amble Welfare.
“The Welfare is at the heart of the community and we wish the Trust every success with their endeavours over the coming months.”
