Geoff Clark Trophy (Three man Yellowball): Friday night saw the inaugural Geoff Clark Trophy with 11x3 man teams playing a Yellow Ball Format and there was a great atmosphere in the clubhouse afterwards as his brother John and wife Val presented the prizes.

Three teams carded with the same high score of 63 points and after the countback process was applied the top three were declared as:-

Members are reminded that on Saturday, June 25, the club are holding a mid-summer ‘Madness’ event. It is a 5am shotgun start, 9x4 man teams, Tex-Mex Scramble, Ladies are welcome to participate. Just £5 per person entry, £20 per team, to include champagne breakfast afterwards.

RI Scott Trophy (Juniors): The RI Scott Trophy was played on Sunday. Due to the appalling weather (wet and very misty) it was reduced to nine holes.

Daily Mail Foursomes: The Club pairing of Mel Patterson and Gary Scott played their fourth round match on Friday and overcome the Beamish pair by 1up to progress to the last 64.

Friday Eclectic: Friday saw the final round of the season’s first eight week eclectic. This contest was kindly sponsored by the Amble Dental Practice. It has been a very close run thing with 12 players finishing on 26 points or more. At the finish it was not possible to split Gary Mather, Richard Davison, David Coates and Dave Metcalf who all had 28pts.
