Newly-updated, this year’s guide also features the Moneymaker Issue, which takes a lighthearted look at money and how to make a bit more of it in your spare time.

Editor Heather Alabaster said: “We came up with the Moneymaker Issue to entertain, as well as offer practical ways to increase your income and make it stretch a bit further. How about selling your holiday snaps, or renting your home as a film location? There are simple ideas and some unusual ones, but they’re all achievable with little or no outlay.”

The Golden Guide is supported by Northumberland County Council, Northumberland Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Age UK Northumberland and Infrastructure North, among others.
