The Bailiffgate Museum will be hosting the ‘Wild’ exhibition from July with numerous events taking place across the town.

The exhibition is a celebration of the natural history of the British Isles and will give visitors the opportunity to see some of the most elusive animals in our native habitats up close.

From high peaks and valleys to meandering rivers and powerful seas, the showcase, and events surrounding it, will give an insight into how animals are adapted to live and thrive in varied environments across the British Isles.

There will be a series of events for all ages, which will run alongside the exhibition, and plenty of opportunities for locals and visitors to the area to get involved.

Mal Graham, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Bailiffgate Museum, said: “We are really excited about Wild.

“It’s going to be an absolutely fantastic exhibition, which we’re sure everyone will enjoy.

“We look forward to telling you more about our programme of events in the next few weeks.”

It will be an event the whole family can enjoy, and takes place during the school summer holidays.

Wild features a selection of the wild creatures of all sizes, which make their homes around us in the Northumberland countryside.

There are wildlife-themed events to enjoy, not just by visiting Bailiffgate but also by getting out and about with notebooks, cameras and worksheets.
