PEOPLE across the region have been urged to brave the typically cold January weather and save lives by donating blood.
Staff from NHS Blood and Transplant are reminding residents that hospitals need blood in January just as much as they do any other time of the year.
Sessions take place in Amble at Radcliffe Working Men’s Club on Wednesday, January 4, from 2pm to 4pm and 4.45pm to 7pm.
The Alnwick session tkaes place in the Northumberland Hall on Sunday, January 29, from 11am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 4pm.
