CALLS are being made for people to find out more about the qualities needed to provide children in Northumberland with a loving home.
There are currently 13 children seeking an adoptive family in Northumberland. The county council runs information sessions throughout the year to help people interested in adopting or providing foster care to decide whether they are able to take on this rewarding role.
The next adoption information evening will be held on Thursday, December 1 at Hepscott Park, Morpeth. To book a place contact Caroline Matthews on 01670 534450 or email email@example.com
Coun Lesley Rickerby, executive member for children and young people, said: “The information sessions for adoption and fostering have been very successful this year.
“We welcome the Government’s review of the adoption process and we hope that people considering adoption will come along to the next session in December to find out more. We are particularly keen to hear from people who may be interested in adopting sibling groups, so that we can keep brothers and sisters together whenever possible.”
