Entries have began to arrive in the competition to find the official poster artist for next year’s Alnmouth Arts Festival.
The organising committee has again joined forces with the Northumberland Gazette, as official media partner, to invite artists to submit work which could be turned into the promotional image for the 2013 event.
The winning image will feature prominently on Arts Festival publicity material, such as posters, flyers, the Festival Trail Guide and the website. The competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over, using any medium – and multiple entries are permitted.
And in return for allowing their image to be used freely in this way, the winning artist will exhibit at the 2013 festival free of charge, where there will be excellent opportunities to promote and market their work.
This year’s official poster artist, Francesca Simpson, will be joining the judging panel to select the favourite entry. The winning image is likely to be readily identifiable with Alnmouth and have a portrait orientation.
As it is a poster and therefore the brand image for the 2013 festival, it will also need to be eye-catching.
The closing date for entries is Thursday, October 25. To download an entry form visit www.al nmouthartsfestival.com
