A Northumberland writer is running two retreats for budding scribes in the north of the county.
Rachel Cochrane, from Stocksfield in the west of the county, is on a mission to help people Get Their Words Out!, whether they are individual writers or organisations.
Realising how important it is for writers to be away from everyday responsibilities and distractions in order to be productive, Rachel runs Writers’ Retreats.
She provides a venue for the day where people can bring along their writing and find space and time to work on it or start something new, inspired by their surroundings.
These have been a great success at Shepherd’s Dene in Riding Mill and now Rachel has found two locations in the north of the county.
The first takes place next weekend, on Saturday, March 28, from 9.30am until 4pm, at Gallery 45 in Felton, where writers can immerse themselves in creativity surrounded by artworks and artists.
Then on Tuesday, May 12, it’s the turn of the Red Lion Inn in Alnmouth, from 10am to 4.30pm.
All retreats cost £35, including refreshments and a light lunch, and wifi is available. Visit rachelcochrane.com for more information.
