George F White appoints head of energy in new role

As a chartered mechanical engineer, Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience across the energy, engineering and construction sectors. He has a track record of establishing and managing multi-disciplined teams with proven ability to deliver multiple major infrastructure projects in challenging environments from concept to completion, to time and budget.

Key areas of Andrew’s expertise include energy portfolio management; design, construction and management of major mechanical and civil engineering projects; environmental permitting; and overall process maintenance and improvement.

“This is why we’ve created a brand new role for him at the consultancy, as head of energy, as we believe he can expand our current energy agenda to include clients based in industrial and commercial sectors. It’s a great coup to have such a motivated and talented professional join us during a period of growth for the business.”

Previous to his new role, Andrew worked at a number of blue-chip companies, including Nissan Motor Manufacturing, Tarmac and Hope Cement Limited. Andrew spent four years at Hope Cement where, as engineering manager, he was responsible for the optimisation of plant and machinery, managing the company’s energy portfolio to reduce cost and carbon footprint, the development of new green and brownfield sites throughout the UK and provision of engineering solutions to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
