Mike Young, a partner at George F White, said: “Andrew has vast experience in the industrial sector where he has demonstrated great acumen in managing large-scale projects delivered to time on a tight budget to secure maximum profitability.

“This is why we’ve created a brand new role for him at the consultancy, as head of energy, as we believe he can expand our current energy agenda to include clients based in industrial and commercial sectors. It’s a great coup to have such a motivated and talented professional join us during a period of growth for the business.”

Previous to his new role, Andrew worked at a number of blue-chip companies, including Nissan Motor Manufacturing, Tarmac and Hope Cement Limited. Andrew spent four years at Hope Cement where, as engineering manager, he was responsible for the optimisation of plant and machinery, managing the company’s energy portfolio to reduce cost and carbon footprint, the development of new green and brownfield sites throughout the UK and provision of engineering solutions to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.

Talking about his position at George F White, Andrew said: “My new role gives me a huge opportunity to develop the offering of our energy team both through expansion, but also by applying our skills and experience to wider projects outside of energy generation technology to deliver exceptional value to a broader range of clients. I cannot wait to get started.”
