AN action group is encouraging groups to apply for funding available for projects across the Northumberland Uplands.
Northumberland Uplands Local Action Group (NULAG) is calling for applications from organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors with up to £160,000 available.
NULAG uses the Leader approach to distribute money from the Rural Development Programme for England.
It wants proposals that will deliver benefits and activities in the following four areas: Young people and enterprise, such as training, mentoring, taster sessions with Uplands businesses or business funding; raising awareness or supporting woodfuel businesses; sustainable farming and woodlands; and employment and skills provision.
Outline project proposals should be received by Friday, June 3.
Applicants for funding should visit www.nuleader.eu for further information and use the Northumberland Uplands expression of interest form to submit the proposal.
Forms can be sent electronically to Tom Burston at email@example.com or Philippa Craig at firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to The Coquetdale Visitor Centre, Church House, Rothbury, Northumberland, NE65 7UP.
