A charity walk along the north Northumberland coast to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society is to take place again this year.

The Save the Memories Walk 2015, organised by Gemma Little, from Amble, whose mam Anne died after living with Alzheimer’s for a decade, takes place on Saturday, July 18.

The route of the 14-mile walk is along the Northumberland Coastal Path from Craster to Amble.

Those taking part will meet at Craster tourist information centre and stop halfway at Alnmouth (pictured above are last year’s competitors there) for around an hour for lunch.

There will be another drinks stop at Warkworth before finishing at Amble at Angies Tavern for celebratory beverages and grub.

Participants can walk in normal clothes, fancy dress or they can order charity T-shirts via Gemma for £5 each.

Walkers can either collect sponsorship – for both the Alzheimer’s Society and the Blooming Well project – or make a donation on the day.

There will also be collection buckets and tins carried on the walk to raise more funds.

Anyone wishing to take part must fill in a registration form prior to taking part.
