FUND-RAISER: Golf day was great success

No Limits Health Club Charity Golf Day in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association was held on Saturday, July 22, and raised more than £1,890.

I would like to thank Alnmouth Village Golf Club members and committee for allowing the use of their course for this event. It was in excellent condition.

Thank you to all the teams who participated on what was a less than ideal day and a big thank you to all the businesses and individuals who donated prizes for the raffle and auction.

Your generosity raised £100.

Such an event does not run smoothly without the help and hard work of many people so thank you to Alison Simpson, Sue, Geoff and Paul Stancliffe for their efforts before and on the day.

Thank you also to Edna and Matty for providing the food and drink in the golf club.

Finally, to Ian Simpson of No Limits, a particular thank you.

Without his hard work, dedication and organisation the day would not have been possible.

It was a wonderful effort by him, and I am sure that all who participated would agree.
