Public wi-fi is now available at Alnwick Infirmary and 16 other sites across Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
It means that visitors will be able to access the internet and use their apps. It is free to use and doesn’t require any information beyond a name and email address.
To access the network, patients need to choose NHS Wi-Fi on their device and follow the registration process.
Alnwick Infirmary, as well as Berwick Infirmary, Blyth Community Hospital, Haltwhistle and the Whalton Unit will have coverage in public locations.
Venues to have coverage in all areas are The Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, North Tyneside General Hospital, Wansbeck General Hospital, Hexham General Hospital, Monkseaton Clinic, Victoria Therapy Unit, Nursery Park (Ashington), Meadowell Health Centre, Albion Road, Morpeth One to One Centre, Chibburn Court and Sea Lodge.
