Family-run Doggy Day Care Centre, based on Pegswood Industrial Estate, has seen more than 100 dogs come through the door since opening last month.

It was set up by Andy Cairns and Jenny Browne after deciding they wanted to create something different to help people juggling work, families and their pets.

The couple said: “We would not have been able to get this far without the help of some amazing people.

“From our fantastic joiner, the local Vets4Pets, and to all our family and friends who have helped make our dream business a reality, thank you.”

The centre has an indoor agility course, pamper area, play area including a ball pit, swing, play house and sleeping area.

Dogs can be booked in for half days, full days or even by the hour.

They also have a ‘Pick up & Drop Off’ option.

All staff are fully trained in pet first aid and they are the only registered dog day care centre in Northumberland.

They will be running an open day each Saturday from 10am until 2pm for the next few weeks in order for people to bring along their dogs, try out the facilities for free and see what the Doggy Day Care Centre has to offer.
