Only a couple of days remain for football fans to get their hands on a framed England shirt signed by Peter Beardsley.
Last month, premium menswear shop Hotspur 1364, in Alnwick, launched a secret auction for the Three Lions strip, in aid of The Stephen Carey Fund.
The charity was set up in memory of the 21-year-old from Alnmouth who died while playing football in 2012. The England top was worn by Beardsley in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final in Mexico – made famous for Maradona’s Hand of God goal.
The auction runs until 5pm on Saturday, when the winner will be announced. The framed top is in the store and minimum bids of £100 will be accepted. You can submit a bid by visiting the shop, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling Lisa, pictured with the top, on 01665 606188.
