Award-winning celebrity chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli, will be making an appearance at the Alnwick Food Festival for the fourth year in a row.
Back by popular demand the Frenchman, who has no less than four Michelin stars and is a five out of five AA Rosette award-winner.
Dubbed ‘the nation’s favourite French chef’ he has placed several leading restaurants on the international map.
His passion for food cuisine and passing on his wealth of culinary knowledge to others resulted in the establishment of the Novelli Academy in 2005. Within three months of opening, Jean-Christophe’s establishment was voted among the top 25 cookery schools in the world.
And after three previous appearances at the food festival, he is excited about returning for a fourth event to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
He said: “I’m delighted to be visiting Alnwick again and being involved in this fabulous event. Northumberland is famous for producing a fantastic range of top-quality, local food produce and I’m looking forward to meeting visitors, local producers as well as suppliers during my visit.
“The food festival is a well-established even, attracted over 30,000 visitors last year and has become another huge attraction for the town.
“I’m excited to be part of the festival activities again and by doing so, continue to help to further develop its immense reputation and profile.”
During his weekend in Alnwick Jean-Christophe will lead two intimate cookery workshops at Outcook Cookery School as well as demonstrating his talents in the festival kitchen in the Northumberland Hall.
The Saturday night will also see an Evening with Novelli in the Hall, with the chef again showcasing his talents while guests are treated to a delectable meal prepared by staff from Newton Hall.
And of course Jean-Christophe will be out and about in the town meeting traders and visitors and sampling the produce on offer at the 50-plus trade stands in Alnwick Market Place.
