Joan Renner, 81, nee Walker, recognised herself as one of the Ugly Sisters from the production of Cinderella. Joan also remembered Vivien Scott was the other sister and believes Rosemary Young was Cinderella.

She said the production was from Mrs Frith’s dance class and thinks it took place in 1948 or ’49.

“It was just after the war and things were improving but there wasn’t much going on at all,” she added.

Vivien Scott contacted us to say she remembered the production. She also named Prince Charming as Pat Matthews and Norma Pig stood behind her. Valerie Stoker also rang up. She named the girl on the far right as Margaret Mole and the lady next to her was Margaret Ball, who both went to the convent school with her.

Vivien said: “It was great fun doing the productions and we had a wonderful time.”
