Flags designed by youngsters for Glendale Agricultural Society’s (GAS) Children’s Countryside Day have gone on display at The Sill, near Hadrian’s Wall.

The flags, representing the theme of Living Off The Land, were raised on Monday and will be up all week.

“There is a special partnership with Northumberland National Park, Children’s Countryside Day and Glendale Agricultural Society – to showcase all three organisations in one event is tremendous.

“I hope families will use this opportunity to see not only the children’s display of flags, but also use the occasion to explore what The Sill has to offer as a visitors’ centre.”

The Sill is open from 9.30am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday, and visitors can see the flags until Sunday.
