There will be a number of events held locally and nationally to continue the celebrations, leading to the RAF 100 Parade on July 10, in London.

Flight Lieutenant Nicholas Byrne said: “It is an honour for me to be part of RAF 100 and to take the salute as the flag was raised at Alnwick Castle to start the celebrations in Northumberland."
