Final countdown

With December nearly here and the end of the year approaching, we need a final push for this year’s Jam Jar Army campaign for SHAK,

Anyone with jars full of coins should try to hand them into the Gazette office, Taylor’s newsagents or the Lions bookshops in the coming weeks.

In other news, regular readers of SHAK’s dog of the week may remember the horrendous condition that Moss and Koby were in when they arrived, but the bald patches and red skin have now been replaced with shiny, furry coats.

Steve Wylie, from the charity, said: “All that’s left for us to do now is find these two handsome boys a home. Ideally we would like to keep them together as they really are best friends, but if that isn’t possible, then two new loving homes would still help them immensely. If you are interested in giving them a home then please get in touch via email to foreverfoster@shak.org.uk

Many of the SHAK dogs featured in the Gazette over the last year appear in the SHAK 2014 calendar and on the SHAK Christmas cards, which will be available at www.shakshop.co.uk and at the Alnwick Christmas Market at the beginning of December.
