Sonrisa will be performing at Howick Village Hall on Thursday, March 11.

They will provide a musical journey from Spain to South America, combining a collection of original material with traditional songs from the Latin world, given a unique interpretation.

All is performed by five professional musicians comprising vocals, trumpet, flute, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, cajon and percussion.

The show covers many Latin styles, including Cuban Son, Tango, Bossa Nova, Samba and Rumba, with a chance to get up and have a go or sit back and soak up the spectacle in an evening full of fun vibes, toe-tapping rhythms and heartfelt songs.

The name Sonrisa translates as ‘smile’ in Spanish and the group promises to live up to the name in an evening of A Taste of Latin.

One spectator at a previous performance said: “Sitting in the village hall, listening to Sonrisa giving us a taste of Latin, I was transported back to my childhood summers spent in Spain.
