Hundreds of VW vehicles have rolled into Alnwick Pastures this weekend for the The Mighty Dub Fest, which runs until tomorrow.
The event, which started yesterday, is taking place in the town for the first time following a four-year stint at Druridge Bay Country Park. A lack of space at the coastal beauty spot, coupled with drainage issues, prompted the new setting.
The theme of this year’s event is Harry Potter, after the first two movies were filmed at Alnwck Castle.
Day visitors are able to attend the event today and tomorrow. Bands and artists to perform over the weekend include Atlantic Soul Messengers, Exploding Buddhas, Tom Dibb, Sugartown, Fickle Lilly, Hannah Lamb, The Purest Green, Eliza Smiles, Lions for a Day, We Steal Flyers and the Duchess Swing Orchestra.
Our photographer Jane Coltman is at the event today and there will be a full round-up and pictures in next Thursday’s Northumberland Gazette.
