The B Festival will return to Bamburgh next month, offering an evening of summer music, from classical to rock.

There will also be a range of refreshment stalls provided by local businesses, and VIP Brewery will be on hand with a bar service.

Last year’s inaugural event was attended by some 650 people, raising £7,500 for HospiceCare North Northumberland.

Now the target is £10,000, and with last year’s sponsors Neil and Jackie Forsyth, of Staynorthumbria, again offering their support, it could be within reach.

Bamburgh-based company WebAuthors is also helping out, donating and creating a festival website at www.bfest.org.uk

And Fantasy Prints, based in Berwick, will be printing t-shirts at the event, with 50 per cent of sales going to HospiceCare.

Event organiser Julie Frost said: “The B Festival offers everyone who attends the opportunity to not only have the most special evening, but to also make a financial contribution to such a vital local service.”

The festival is on Saturday, August 13 beside Bamburgh Castle. Gates open at 5pm. Advanced tickets cost £17.50 adults, free for under 16s, from www.hospicecare-nn.org.uk
