The incident happened between 11pm and 11.45pm on Friday, April 15.
Two offenders were identified and were interviewed under caution.
They were subsequently issued with Community Resolutions to make reparations to the victims and apologise for their actions.
The incident was flagged up by police as part of their monthly Coquetdale Community Message. It was one of a total of eight crimes that were reported to police in April.
Other incidents include a burglary in Rothbury between 7.30pm on Sunday, April 3, and 10am on Sunday, April 17, when an unknown person entered a property and removed jewellery from a bedroom. The address is not listed by police, but inquiries are continuing into this offence.
Residents are also being reminded to secure all property and report any suspicious activity to the police via 999.
Meanwhile, sometime between 5.30pm on Wednesday, March 23, and 9am on Monday, April 4, guttering was damaged at Rothbury First School. Residents are asked to report any suspicious activity on school grounds which they witness, especially at vulnerable times such as after school, weekends and school holidays.
In a separate incident, a vehicle’s wing mirror was damaged overnight on Tuesday, April 5, while it was parked on Market Street, Rothbury.
Investigations are on going after police received reports of a malicious email which was sent to local businesses in the Rothbury area, which occurred between 8am on Monday, April 4, and 7pm on Friday, April 8.
A number of suspects have been interviewed under caution and inquiries are on going after a forestry shed at Harwood Forest had its lock damaged and was broken into at some point during April.
Inquiries are also continuing after a burglary in the Alwinton area, between 5pm on Tuesday, April 19, and 9am on Friday, April 22, when an unknown offender entered a property and caused damage within.
In the Netherton/Harbottle/Alwinton/Elsdon/Rothley areas, items were stolen from a yard between 4.30pm on Sunday, April 3, and 8.10am on Thursday, April 7. Inquiries are ongoing.
