Stef was a caring and lovely lady and will be sorely missed by her husband, Barry, children, grandchildren and all who crossed her path on life’s journey.

She had five children – Joe, David, Katie, Stevie and Michael and eight grandchildren – William, George and Laurie Blackburn, Ollie and Eddie Graham, and Mollie, Harvey and Romily.

Stef moved to Alnwick in 2004 after retiring from music teaching and running her own nursery school in Harrogate.

But she still found time for continuous fund-raising, racking up tens of thousands of pounds for Candlelighters, The Rainbow Centre Sri Lanka, Unity Mission Trust and many other worthwhile causes.

A service will be held at St Paul’s church in Alnwick tomorrow at 2.15pm. This will be followed by a celebration of Stef’s life at The Red Lion Inn, Alnmouth.
