Fact-finding college trip

High-flying students have been enjoying a taste of university life in a two-day trip to Cambridge.

Pupils from Bedlingtonshire Community High School and St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy joined up for the opportunity to visit King’s College.

They spoke to current students at the college and found out more about university life.

As well as touring the college, and staying in student accommodation, they visited the surrounding area and Scott Polar Museum.

The group also picked up tips about applying to Oxbridge and other universities.

The trip came shortly after a fundraising event at Bedlingtonshire High in aid of the Tiny Lives fund at Newcastle RVI.

Deputy headteacher Stephanie Pritchard organised a stall selling mother’s day gifts, with all proceeds going to the charity.
