The number of both exhibitors and visitors was up as North Sunderland and Seahouses Gardening Association held its annual show on Saturday.

Liz Moor, the association’s secretary, declared the day had been ‘fabulous’ and that it was ‘fantastic to see so many exhibits’.

“Our numbers were up on last year, both exhibitors and visitors, with nearly 80 exhibits in the children’s section, excluding the first school entries,” she said.

“Seahouses First School’s display of poetry and pictures was outstanding.

“Seahouses Busy Bees Nursery participated this year in the decorative photo frame class and their frames were wonderful, with the youngest entry being only two years of age. The committee would like to thank everyone involved in organising the show, the helpers on the day, our judges, Mim Woodeson for presenting the trophies and all of the sponsors.”
