This summer, visitors to The Fusilier Museum of Northumberland, at Alnwick Castle, have been learning what life would have been like for a First World War soldier.
People have had the chance to get to grips with artefacts from the time, explore what life would have been like in a war-camp kitchen and take part in First World War-style recruitment activities.
Nicola Day, activities and events officer, said: “This season has been very busy, with more than 14,000 visitors coming through the museum in July alone. The activities have proved popular.”
Volunteers have worked alongside re-enactors to offer an exciting array of activities. The programme runs until the end of the summer season.
