Experienced pair join team at Arcinova

Andrew Watson and Zoë Wright have joined the Alnwick firm as Isotope Labelling Chemists and both come with a wealth of experience.

Arcinova provides integrated end-to-end solutions and standalone services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the globe.

It works across drug substance synthesis, drug product manufacture, formulation development, bioanalytical and metabolism services, isotopic labelling (including radiolabelling synthesis) and synthesis of toxic/highly potent APIs.

Arcinova also provides consultancy services and works in unison with companies throughout the drug development process.

Andrew graduated from the University of Leeds with a Master of Chemistry degree and has since completed a PhD in Ruthenium catalysed transformations of alcohols at the University of Bath.

He has held a number of post-doctorate research positions with the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, University of Bristol and most recently Cardiff University.

Zoë has joined Arcinova from The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) in California where she completed a post-doctorate research on novel antiviral treatments for influenza.

She has also completed a Master of Chemistry degree at the University of Oxford and a PhD in Organic Chemistry in Peptide Synthesis at the University College London.

In their new roles, Zoë and Andrew will focus on synthetic chemistry, where they will be responsible for synthesising and radiolabelling Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
