Exhibition showcases colour, style and sock puppets

A MIX of colour and style graces the Bailiffgate Museum in the latest exhibition at the Alnwick attraction.

It Happens is a textile art display by talented artists Gillian Arkley, Anne Tuck, Rose Stanley and Chris Dixon.

The showcase started earlier this week and runs until July 15.

Several of the works will be available for sale, along with other smaller items that can be bought from the shop.

The artists intend to call in to the museum during the half-term break to talk to people about the exhibition, while there will also be a series of family activities during this period.

From Saturday to Wednesday, June 1 there will be collage activities, while on Saturday, June 4, a textiles workshop is being held, as part of free entry weekend.

On Thursday, June 2, there will be a sock puppets workshop, while a craft workshop takes place on Friday, June 3. Both of these events run from 1pm to 3pm.

Children must be accompanied by an adult when taking part in all the activities.

The museum is open from 10am to 4pm daily.
