EVENT: Turnout was tremendous

Many thanks to all who came out to enjoy the Belford Classic Car show.

We had a tremendous turn out, with a wide variety of vehicles coming from near and far.

Special thanks have to go to Sunnyhills Farmshop for sponsoring the event and the use of its land, Mr and Mrs Jackson for allowing us access through their land, Ian Carruthers who has given his usual enthusiasm for any village event, Mike Briant from Northumbria Blood Bikes who spent all day with us and threw himself into the world of cars (although he said they had too many wheels), Tommy Boswell who provided food, drink and general merriment, and Scud and the Mechanics (Airborn Motors) for their entertainment. Also to Eric Gassner who took some fabulous photos of the day.

The main object of the day was to raise some money for Northumbria Blood Bikes and The Great North Air Ambulance so we are delighted to announce that £600 was raised. This was mainly due to the lovely Katie Clough who managed to get you all to dig deep.

Thank you and we’ll hope to see you all next year.

Peter and Joann Mailer,

Belford
