Gardeners in north Northumberland with any horticultural dilemmas, problems or questions can perhaps find the solution at a special event this weekend.
And even if you don’t have a query, but are a fan of Gardeners’ Question Time on Radio 4, then between 2.30pm and 5pm on Sunday, the St James’ Church Centre on Pottergate in Alnwick, is the place to be.
The Friends of the Bullfield Community Orchard are hosting their own fund-raising Gardeners’ Question Time event.
Attendees are invited to bring along a gardening question and a sample of the plant/pest in question or just to come along and listen to the advice and debate around the answers to gardening conundrums.
This is a rare chance to listen to respected gardeners who cope with the vagaries of the Northumberland climate in a professional capacity.
The panellists include Tom Pattinson, the Gazette’s gardening correspondent and Northumbria in Bloom judge, Debbie Crombie, from Seaton Delaval Hall, and Clare O’Donnell, from The Alnwick Garden.
Tickets, £3 adults and £1 children, are available on the door.
There will also be teas, cakes and a tombola.
