There are few nicer places to be on a lovely summer’s day than Etal and that is clearly what hundreds of visitors to its annual show thought too.
Heavy rain through the night and during the morning thankfully gave way to bright sunshine as temperatures soared into the afternoon.
Richard Baker, a committee member, said: “We had a good turnout from entries in the main marquee to visitors through the gate and entering in the companion dog show.”
The cups were presented by Lady Joicey and Jack Bexon, from Etal, presented flowers to Lady Joicey as a thank-you.
The Schmid family won the Michael Edward Joicey Family Salver for the second year on the trot, collectively gaining the most points in the show.
Crowds were entertained in the main arena with a falconry display, chainsaw carving, Coldstream Pipe Band and children’s sports, plus numerous stallholders.
