New measures introduced to cut costs at Seahouses cemetery after £14,000 loss over three years
North Sunderland Parish Council, which is responsible for the cemetery, recently held a meeting with its contracted groundsman to put a plan in place for the coming year.
Grass-cutting will now be carried out once a fortnight instead of weekly, while a cemetery tidy will be conducted once a month.

The situation will be reviewed in a few months’ time.
