More than 750 people attended a model railway exhibition at the Aln Valley Railway’s Lionheart Station site in Alnwick last weekend.
Visitors from around the region, as well as further afield, from the likes of Aberdeen, Loughborough, Carlisle and Accrington came to the event.
As well as the high-quality railway layouts, models and demonstrations, there were stalls and diesel-train rides, among other things. Railway author Matthew Dench also attended to sign and sell copies of his work.
The railway is planning to hold a similar event in September 2016 and has already received offers of several different layouts for display.
