A TASTE of Northumbrian food and music will be on offer for visitors to this year’s Alnwick Food Festival.
Taking place from Friday September 23, to Sunday, September 25, the festival celebrates local food and producers.
And this year, a Taste of Northumbria night, sponsored by Co-Operative Membership, will be held in the Northumberland Hall.
Musician Alistair Anderson and his ensemble will perform a programme of traditional Northumbrian music, while Black Olive Cafe will provide a buffet of local food and the Boutique Wine Company will supply the drink.
Festival chairman Philip Angier said: “After a busy day watching chefs ply their trade and browsing in the Market Place, we are offering Food Festival patrons a change of tempo for the evening.
“What could be more relaxing than listening to an accordion and Northumbrian pipes and enjoying a wholesome buffet of local food and a choice of wine or local ale?”
Tickets are £16.50 including both the cold buffet and a first drink, and can be obtained via The Food Festival website, www.alnwickfoodfestival.co.uk by emailing your firstname.lastname@example.org or from Alnwick Tourist Information Centre.
